KyokaJP
Kyoka is a Japanese artist who works as a musician and composer in Berlin as well as Tokyo. She's known for her chaotic and direct musical approach, a heavy-rough sound, resulting in broken pop-beats with experimental yet danceable rhythms. She released her music on labels such as Onpa))))) and Raster-Noton. Beyond performance, she has increasingly explored installation projects in the past years, which includes a collaboration with Shohei Fujimoto for the Japan Media Arts Distributed Museum.
At Connect MUTEK.ES Kyoka presents the world premiere of her new AV show ¨Water¨ with visuals from Nobuko Hori and augmented reality works from Myoung Kang. Kyoka is presented with the support of the Japan Foundation in Spain.
