Artist, composer, and researcher Suzanne Kite, aka Kite, will open the evening at OASIS with a powerful immersive performance. An Oglála Lakȟóta artist and director of the Wihánble S’a Lab for Indigenous AI—a humanities research center supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and a key hub of the Abundant Intelligences program—Kite is at the forefront of exploring the intersection between artificial intelligence and Indigenous knowledge systems.

As part of this program, she will present Cosmologyscape, a performative lecture. Blending dreaming, responsive technologies, and live performance, Kite delves into the poetic and epistemological dimensions of Indigenous AI.

She will also share her latest work translating Lakȟóta epistemologies into sensor-driven artworks, including a performance excerpt from Wičhíŋčala Sákowin, a piece rooted in the story of seven girls who become stars. Through imagery and symbolic objects—stones, stars, and sacred shapes—Kite evokes a vast, interconnected universe, where dreaming and waking, land and cosmos, human and nonhuman, are brought together in reflection on ethical and reciprocal relationships.
