An Expanded Market for Digital Creativity
MUTEK Market returns from August 26 to 28, 2026, in a significantly expanded format, now fully integrated across the Festival and Forum as one of their defining features.
The Market connects artists, creative studios, companies, and professionals from Québec and Canada working across the music and digital creativity sectors with more than 150 international buyers, presenters, curators, programmers, and decision-makers.
Three Days of Meetings and Professional Development
The programme includes:
-
Daily curated one-on-one meetings between international delegates and artists, studios, and companies from Québec and Canada;
-
Three days of conferences, case studies, performance lectures, and industry cocktails as part of MUTEK Forum;
-
Targeted outreach to decision-makers across museums, performing arts venues, public spaces, cities, location-based entertainment, architecture, science museums, festivals, and organisations ranging from cultural institutions to large-scale commercial activations.
Two Matchmaking Tracks
This edition introduces two complementary matchmaking tracks, designed to connect participants with the people, expertise, and opportunities most relevant to their projects and sectors.
Immersive and Creative Industries
This track connects creative studios, producers, and technology-driven companies with international decision-makers seeking immersive, interactive, and digitally driven experiences.
Artists and Music Industry
This track connects artists and music-sector professionals with festivals, venues, curators, programmers, labels, and other international partners.
While each track has its own focus and matchmaking approach, the two ecosystems naturally intersect. Many international organisations work across both artistic programming and creative production, creating opportunities for dual-track meetings, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and new hybrid projects.
An International Professional Network
The Market brings together professionals working across digital arts, immersive media, the music industry, performing arts, audiovisual performance, creative technologies, and public space programming throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East.
MUTEK Market is presented for the first time with the support of the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles du Québec (SODEC).
Investissement Québec International is also collaborating on this edition by mobilising its network of trade representatives to invite international delegates and facilitate their participation in the event.
This support further strengthens MUTEK Market’s role as a strategic platform for the international visibility and development of Québec and Canada’s creative industries.
Concrete Opportunities for Collaboration
At a pivotal moment for Montréal’s digital arts ecosystem, the Market creates the conditions for lasting relationships and concrete outcomes: commissions, co-productions, touring opportunities, festival presentations, and residencies.
Over three days, it offers an opportunity to discover emerging talent, forge cross-border partnerships, and engage in the creative and technological collaborations shaping the future of the sector.
MUTEK Market’s dedicated B2B space will be located at the Wilder Building – Espace danse, in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles.
