Getting Around
Parking downtown can be difficult. We strongly suggest getting to the festival by foot, bike, taxi or public transport.
Public Transport
The metro stations near the festival venues are Berri-UQAM (green, yellow, and orange lines), Saint-Laurent (green line), and Place-des-arts (green line). There are also multiple bus lines to take you into the festival's neighbourhood. Find more information on public transport here.
Biking
Once you're in Montréal, get around with BIXI, the public bike-sharing system serving Montréal and surrounding areas.

Helpful Tips for Your Trip
Important info for those traveling from outside Canada:
→ VISA AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION
Visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa.

→ CONVERTING YOUR CURRENCY
You can convert money at the pricier Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport currency exchange, at your hotel, or simply by using your ATM card at any bank, which will cost a smaller fee (best option). There are also numerous currency exchanges located downtown that offer competitive rates.
→ TIPPING
Service is not included on a restaurant or bar bill, so it's customary to add a 15% tip to the total before taxes. Tipping cab drivers, hotel cleaning staff, porters, and doormen is also recommended (but may be less than 15%). Tipping is not necessary in cinemas and theatres.
→ TAXES
The prices of most consumer goods and services are increased by a provincial tax (QST) of 9.975% and a national tax (GST) of 5%, which are generally not included in the posted price. Keep in mind that you'll have to add about 15% to the initial price when you pay.
