Following the initiative of MUTEK, Xn Québec, PHI Center, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (FNC) and Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal (RIDM), thanks to the support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the City of Montreal, Québec Canada XR is launching a study of issues and obstacles of XR distribution (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality) in order to take stock of the changes, tendencies, and new models for XR distribution among independent producers, here and abroad.
The challenges of XR distribution are great. What are the current solutions to distributing XR experiences? What tools do we have to adapt to the current market? How has the current pandemic affected the distribution and exhibition of XR works?
We want to hear from you! This survey is aimed at XR producers and distributors in Québec and Canada. More than market statistics, we are looking to understand the actual needs of our community.
You can find more information on this project and its objectives here (in French).
