Day Pass price, excl. fees & taxesEvent programmers wear many hats. They're community builders, visionaries as well as intermediaries between local and global scenes. But juggling between these can be tricky, especially as borders between local and global artists grow increasingly blurry. Can programmers simultaneously serve the needs of their communities, stay relevant internationally and execute their own creative fantasies all the while maintaining an artist-centric perspective? Join us for a compelling panel discussion on how organisers can nurture talent, foster innovation and use disruptive technologies for good. Moderated by Resident Advisor’s Futures Editor Nyshka Chandran, the talk features Renelle Dejardins, PHI Centre’s director of programming, Jarrett Martineau, the Indigenous curator, scholar and artist behind Reclaimed (CBC's first-ever Indigenous music series) and dance music producer Waajeed, who is currently working to foster multi-generational skill-sharing through the Underground Music Academy in Detroit.
