Award-winning artist and activist Madame Gandhi opens the final day of MUTEK Forum with an exclusive conversation presented by EarthPercent, a charity co-founded by Brian Eno to unleash the power of music in service of the planet.

Known by her stage name Madame Gandhi, Kiran Gandhi is a musician, producer, and activist celebrated for her powerful electronic music and messages of gender liberation, personal empowerment, and environmental awareness. She first garnered international attention in 2015 when she ran the London Marathon while freely menstruating to combat menstrual stigma, and has since become a prominent voice in both artistic and activist communities.

A TED Fellow, Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and part of the BBC’s 100 Women list, Gandhi uses music as a vehicle for social and environmental transformation. Her most recent work incorporates field recordings of melting Antarctic glaciers, blending sound and science to foster empathy around climate change.

In 2023, she received the Abe Olman Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame for excellence in songwriting and artistic leadership, and a jury prize at SXSW for her music video Waiting For Me.

This conversion, moderated by Kiran Bhumber (INTER/MEDIATE), is a unique opportunity to meet Madame Gandhi, before her exclusive live performance at the MUTEK Festival on August 22 at the Esplanade Tranquille.

Please note: this activity will be in English, with live transcription available.
