Framing interactive and immersive experiences as stages for transformation builds in connection, belonging, and community. In essence, the audience becomes the story, and the producers become the alchemists of radical presents and futures—incanting possible pathways to communal reimaginings: transformation through shared acts and resilience as a form of repair.

In Tending the Firelight, Waruingi takes audiences on a journey through La Perle Noire Immersive’s portfolio of projects—diving into narrative design, formats, processes, technologies, and funding approaches—to demonstrate the quiet and powerful ways in which resilience and sustainability have been woven into the projects produced. All of this is bolstered by care, collaboration, bridge-building, and, most importantly, patience and agility in a fast-moving ecosystem.
