As immersive technologies continue to reshape contemporary performance, visual artists are increasingly moving between gallery installation, stage scenography, and live audiovisual practice. Presented and moderated by Epson, this series of project presentations brings together creators and studios to pull back the curtain on their working processes: the aesthetic decisions, technical challenges, and bold choices that animate the screen and shape our collective experience of the live space work, highlighting the importance of intention, authorship and distinctive artistic perspective in an era saturated with AI slop.

Kamil Nawratil, founder of Brooklyn-based creative technology studio Volvox Labs, presents Astral Twin — a robotic audiovisual installation in which industrial precision meets organic unpredictability, with an LED surface acting as a membrane between mechanical gesture and generative content, evolving in real time through light, colour, and form.

Visual artist Mika Oki explores the natural phenomenon of the Parhelion, an atmospheric optical effect and how she translates it from landscape to stage using light, smoke, and scenographic tools to craft atmosphere and narrative within audiovisual performance.

Epson rounds out the session presenting their collaboration with the Museum of Art + Light, the first museum in the US conceived from the ground up to unite digital, immersive, and fine art, powered by over 100 Epson laser projectors across nearly 37,00 square feet of exhibition space.

Moment Factory will share a retrospective of their stage scenography and real-time live experiments, offering a look behind the scenes at their technical challenges—and how to leverage innovation not for show, but to amplify the artist’s vision and tell a compelling story.
