Day Pass price, excl. fees & taxesThe first day of the Forum opens with an address by one of Canada’s most vital voices at the intersection of Indigenous storytelling and emerging media.
Loretta Sarah Todd is a filmmaker, artist, and the Founder and Creative Director of IM4 Lab — an immersive media lab dedicated to Indigenous narrative and to nurturing the next generation of Indigenous media makers. Through VR, AR, and immersive technologies, IM4 Lab places Indigenous worldviews at the center of screen culture, not as subject matter, but as authorship.
Responding directly to the Forum’s theme of Symbiotic Frequencies, Todd’s opening address invites a critical reflection on the foundational questions that will run through the days ahead: Who controls the tools shaping our world? Whose stories get told, and by whom? And what does it mean to build technological futures that are genuinely inclusive?
A provocation and an orientation, this talk sets the tone for the conversations to come.
