Alexandra Marin is a Living Lab Manager for the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT], where she is responsible for the launch of this new experimentation and co-creation space dedicated to the exploration of immersive technologies in projects with a social scope.
Her previous experience at CBC/Radio-Canada and the MUTEK festival in Montréal has given her a keen understanding of Montréal's cultural and artistic sector.
In 2022, she joined the SAT research team, where she leads various research and development (R&D) and research-creation (R&C) projects, notably through the R&D residency program and collaborations with partners such as the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and Moment Factory.
Her expertise in the digital arts sector, combined with an academic background in political communications and project management, gives her a holistic vision of current issues related to creation, innovation, and social transformation.
Convinced of the essential role of digital arts in addressing complex social issues, she works to build bridges between disciplines, communities, and technologies, with a view to making culture and the arts more accessible and democratic.
