Antoine Provencher is a Montréal-based multidisciplinary artist and entrepreneur whose practice exists at the fertile intersection of art, science, and ecology. Working fluidly across installation art, acoustic and electro-acoustic composition, industrial design, and sculpture, he resists easy categorization, instead cultivating a body of work defined by curiosity, material intelligence, and a deep respect for natural systems.
At the heart of his current practice is MYCOAUDIO, an initiative he founded and continues to develop as both a conceptual framework and a living laboratory. MYCOAUDIO brings together mycology, biology, and the expressive possibilities of organic materials to reimagine what sound and space can be made from. It is, at its core, a provocation: what happens when technology does not dominate nature, but learns from it? His work challenges the prevailing narrative that innovation and sustainability are in tension.
