Dr. Alfredo Cramerotti is a scholar, curator, and cultural entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of contemporary art, media, and digital culture. As Director of the Media Majlis Museum (mm:museum) at Northwestern University in Qatar, he leads research-driven exhibitions and curatorial initiatives that explore the role of media in shaping contemporary cultural narratives.

His curatorial practice spans some of the most significant platforms in international contemporary art. He has co-curated four national and collateral pavilions at the Venice Biennale, and organized exhibitions for Manifesta, Noor Riyadh, Art Dubai Digital, and the Lumen Prize, among others. He previously served as Director of Mostyn contemporary art museum in the UK from 2011 to 2023.

Dr. Cramerotti serves as President of the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT) and Chair of Digital Strategies for the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). He advises the British Council Visual Arts Acquisition Committee, the UK Government Art Collection, and the Italian Ministry of Culture.

An active researcher with over 200 published texts, he is the author of five books, including Aesthetic Journalism (2009) and Curating the Image (2020), and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Critical Photography book series at Intellect Books. He works in close curatorial partnership with Auronda Scalera, artistic director, curator, and cultural strategist whose practice spans contemporary art, digital culture, and artificial intelligence.
