Hugo Laliberté is a creative programmer and entrepreneur in the field of interactive and experiential digital art. He is currently the co-director of the creative studio Ottomata, which specializes in the design of interactive installations and immersive journeys for public spaces. Laliberté develops his work around the viewer and their ability to act at the heart of the scenario. With a background in electrical engineering, advanced programming, and music, he began experimenting with interactive media in 2013 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications: Interactive Media from the Université du Québec à Montréal. It was during this time that he co-founded his first artistic collective, with whom he presented work at the Chromatic Festival, the Society for Arts and Technology, the Livart Gallery, and the Jutra Awards ceremony. His work with Ottomata has since allowed him to showcase local creative expertise across Canada, in Dubai, Aix-en-Provence, Paris, the United States, the United Kingdom, and even Japan.
