Roman Rappak (aka Venice Bleach) is a producer, A/V artist and VR creator residing in Paris/London, performing live music virtual reality installations and A/V shows worldwide. He is also cofounder and Creative Director of Ristband, a startup using game engines, AI, and cutting edge technology to create groundbreaking experiences in the real world, virtual worlds and games, powered by proprietary technology.
His startup Ristband was launched with the support of a grant from Epic Games, and won the SXSW Audience Award in 2023 for their official Future x Music event, an annual showcase at the festival. Ristband’s experiences have been booked as a part of the official selections at festivals around the world, bridging the gap between music, gaming, and live events.
Rappak’s work carves a unique niche at the intersection of music, gaming technology and experiential events, with his award-winning mixed reality VR and live performance installation FORMATIONS arriving at MUTEK for its Canadian premiere.
