Sandra O'ConnorCA/QC
Sandra O’Connor has devoted most of her career to the advancement of the cultural and community sectors, holding various leadership positions. After working at TOHU and the Regroupement québécois de la danse, O’Connor managed marketing and communications departments at influential organizations such as Culture Montréal, Moisson Montréal, the Foundation of Greater Montreal, and the National Theatre School of Canada.
In 2016, she was appointed as director of Monument-National, a heritage performing arts venue located in the heart of Montréal’s Quartier des spectacles. In 2020, she joined the office of Quebec’s Minister of Tourism as communications director and main advisor on the government’s Action Plan for Sustainable and Responsible Tourism, launched in 2021. Before becoming the Festival TransAmériques’ co-executive director and administrative director in June 2024 alongside Martine Dennewald, she acted as a political advisor on mental health and homelessness for Quebec’s Minister Responsible for Social Services.
Over the last years, she has volunteered as a board member for various cultural organizations such as the Parbleux dance company, Partenariat du Quartier des Spectacles, Grand Costumier and Théâtre Les 2 Mondes.
