Day Pass price, excl. fees & taxesThis presentation series explores how interactive media can serve as a tool for storytelling, resistance, and cultural revitalization. Featuring two Indigenous-led game projects, Katsi’noniowá:nen – The Flying Head by Kahentawaks Tiewshaw (Revital Software) and orange pekoe by Vanessa Racine, this panel highlights how games can be designed ethically and inclusively to reflect Indigenous perspectives and lived realities.
From language learning through collaborative development, to speculative 8-bit futures that challenge colonial narratives of land, these works invite us to reimagine what “play” can mean—and whom it can serve. The session includes a live demo of orange pekoe (2023) and insights into the development process of The Flying Head as part of Revital’s Language Learning Library Project.
Please note: this activity will be in English, with live transcription available.
