Day Pass price, excl. fees & taxesMcKenzie Wark, writer, theorist, performer, will deliver a signature reading with live beats from her books Raving and Love and Money, Sex and Death, followed by a conversation on techno-sensuality, queer rave culture, and the poetics of refusal.
Known for her influential works such as A Hacker Manifesto, Gamer Theory, and Capital is Dead, Wark has contributed to rethinking Marxism through texts such as Leaving the Twentieth Century and Molecular Red. She also questions the collective modes of knowledge production in General Intellects and Sensoria.
In this talk, Wark offers an intimate, political, and physical exploration of celebration, desire, affective economies, and finitude. Her powerful self-theoretical practice connects queer, trans, and rave experiences to systems of power and knowledge.
A professor of media and cultural studies in New York, McKenzie Wark is redefining the contours of critical thinking in the 21st century—where the body and ideas dance together.
