Rachel Weldon is a curator, creative producer, and project manager whose work is rooted in building sustainable ecosystems for independent music and arts culture. She is the founder and director of Debaser, an Ottawa-based non-profit presenter organization, and its signature festival, Pique, platforms she has developed into vital anchors for the city's independent creative community. She also serves as outreach associate for Envision Management and Productions.
Weldon was a 2024 Keychange Innovator and a 2025 Creative Producer in Residence at the National Arts Centre, distinctions that reflect her commitment to both artistic development and sector-wide change. She currently serves as a member-at-large on the City of Ottawa's Nightlife Council, bringing an artist-centred perspective to the policies and conversations that shape urban cultural life.
Before her current roles, she worked as a programmer at artist-run centre SAW, and has built over twelve years of experience across artist and festival management, project management, and industry and export development.
