World Creation Studio, an artist-run non profit based in Montréal supporting experimental and interdisciplinary work in digital, sound, and immersive art, presents a special edition of final-bounce - an event series bringing together music producers, composers, and sound artists through a shared platform for listening and exchange.

Hosted by multidisciplinary artist Malte Leander, the session opens with an artist panel featuring international acts from the MUTEK festival lineup, sharing unreleased material and reflecting on their creative approaches, before a feedback portion opens the floor to participant submissions: selected attendees present demos and works-in-progress, receiving input from both featured artists and the audience.

Featured artists from the MUTEK lineup include Nazar - an Angolan musician and producer based in the UK, whose debut album Guerilla (2020) reconfigures kuduro into a darker, more abrasive form he calls "rough kuduro" drawing on fragmented narratives and oral histories to document his family and country’s experience of civil war and its aftermath; Zora Jones, a DJ, producer, vocalist, and visual artist, who helped shape global dancefloor culture for over a decade, offering up immersive electronic experiences and some of the most imaginative visual worlds in recent memory; and Wawa, a Taiwanese Canadian bass music producer and one half of experimental audiovisual duo Super Galaxy Meow Meow.

Final-bounce brings the MUTEK Forum to a close with a curated selection of new and unreleased music by festival goers and local talent, spotlighting the creators behind each track and offering a window into sounds and practices that are currently emerging across Montréal’s electronic music community.
