Vicky B. Ouellette is General Director of STUDIO ZX, President of the MTL 24/24 Night Council, producer-curator of the Ctrl+Alt Festival, an educator in her spare time and a wild clubkid on the weekends. With more strings to her bow than a harpist, her mission is to spotlight marginalized talent from nightlife culture. Ouellette aims to reinterpret the place of underground art in the often elitist milieu of artistic dissemination.
She is a trans woman with a lot to say about the place of Queer Art in our metropolis' institutions. After collaborations with Cirque du Soleil, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a variety of local cultural festivals, STUDIO ZX stands out for its ability to use event and community programming as a vector for social change and territorial reappropriation for marginalized populations.
