Connor CookCA/QC
Connor Cook is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, Canada. His work typically stems from sound art practices, which inform composition for stage, video, and interactive media as well as his approach to performance.
Much of his practice is further fueled by an interest in acoustic-ecology-informed recording and sustainable sound practices, sustainable urban livelihood (including the sound ecology of the urban individual), as well as the urge to work on fun projects with friends old and new. His pieces have been showcased internationally through concerts or live performances, including across Canada, in Mexico, the United States, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
Cook is a member of the Trajectories Collective, an international ambient/experimental composition collective, and he currently works for the Next Generation Cities Institute at Concordia University, where he is developing a podcast about the research conducted at the institute and designing sound for their City Player projects.
