Erin Thompson (Muscogee Creek Nation) is a creative leader whose work turns ambitious ideas into lasting structures. Over 15 years, she has produced significant bodies of work for contemporary artist studios, supporting globally recognized artists in expanding their practices across mediums, platforms, and institutions.
She currently serves as Chief Creative Officer at the Lumen Prize, an international nonprofit organization at the forefront of art and technology. In this role, she leads strategic partnerships, public programming, and creative systems design, shaping how the organization engages with artists and audiences worldwide.
Her practice is grounded in a deep commitment to BIPOC futurisms, storytelling, and systems-level change in the arts. Whether working with individual artists or large institutions, she brings the same dedication to building creative ecosystems that are equitable, expansive, and built to last.
Thompson holds an MA in Historical and Contemporary Photography from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and a BFA from Lesley University. She is an active mentor to artists and technologists across disciplines, guided by the belief that more inclusive creative cultures begin with the people we invest in.
