Nicolas S. Roy is President and Executive Creative Director of Dpt., a Montréal-based studio specializing in immersive experiences. Leading a team of around thirty people, he oversees the design of XR experiences, interactive installations, and AI-driven projects for museums, cultural institutions, and brands worldwide.
A graduate of Concordia University's digital arts program, Roy was named to Blooloop's Top 50 most influential figures in the museum sector in 2025, and to XPLand's XList of the 100 most creative visionaries in the experience industry.
His immersive projects have been presented at some of the world's most prestigious platforms for emerging media, including Cannes XR, the Venice Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, and SXSW. As a sought-after speaker, he has taken the stage at South by Southwest, OFFF Barcelona, MUTEK, XR Global Summit, and Unity for Humanity, contributing to global conversations on the future of immersive design, cultural technology, and creative innovation.
