Presented by Debaser, this panel brings together artists, community organizers, festival makers, and industry practitioners to examine how accountability and support structure operate within today’s electronic music ecosystem: the relationship between artists and the infrastructures that present, fund, and distribute their work, and how they shape the trajectories and sustainability of creative careers.

Moderated by Rachel Weldon from Debaser, the conversation draws on a range of perspectives including Swiss DJ and producer NVST, whose releases on Tresor, Dekmantel, and Fabric Records reflect a practice rooted in DIY culture and underground club music; frickenmia, a Brooklyn-based social media strategist and curator who highlights ways for artists to maintain agency and authenticity while navigating the economic realities of working with digital platforms; and Nadim Maghzal of Laylit, a platform and collective celebrating music and artists from the Arab and SWANA region and its diaspora, whose dance parties have carved out a distinct space in North American nightlife over the last four years.
