In this talk, she takes Pidikwe (Rumble) — her 2025 short documentary of multigenerational Indigenous women celebrating heritage through modern and traditional dance, as a point of departure to explore analog materiality confronted with digital processes and what is transformed, lost or preserved in those passages. It is a meditation on what survives transformation, and a conversation that sits in resonance with Symbiotic Frequencies. The Q&A is conducted by MAC curator Mojeanne Behzadi, who brought Monnet’s work into the museum’s landmark 60th anniversary Nocturnes.
