Fait Poms is a DJ, producer, and audio engineer based in Oakland, California, whose practice bridges the technical and the communal. Noticing a persistent lack of acoustic precision in the sound systems reproducing her tracks at her shows, she took matters into her own hands and began designing and building DIY and professional loudspeakers in service of the underground dance music scene.
That hands-on approach gave rise to Faited Systems (2025), her own loudspeaker system, which has since been deployed at events across Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Detroit, Boston, and Oakland. The system reflects her exacting standards as both an artist and an engineer, closing the gap between how music is made and how it is heard.
Beyond her technical work, Poms is a committed organizer and builder of community. She is a core organizer of System Activate, a multi-day rave, a booker at the Northern California campout events Campette and The Ever Afters, and a founder of the Envelope Soundsystem, a renegade collective rooted in the San Francisco Bay Area. She also manages and tours regionally with Eris Drew and Octo Octa's LUV NRG Soundsystem, half of which she designed and built herself, bringing her craft to audiences across the East Coast.
