Sean PowerCA
Sean Power is the CEO and co-founder of Musical AI, an AI infrastructure company building rights management and attribution systems for generative media. With over two decades of experience designing and scaling analytics, observability, and media platforms, he has a track record of building technology that matters, including startups acquired by Google, Salesforce, and BMC.
Power is the co-author of Complete Web Monitoring (O'Reilly), an early and widely referenced guide to web and social analytics, performance, and operations. He has spoken at leading technology and policy conferences including SXSW, Velocity, and FWD50, bringing a practitioner's perspective to conversations at the intersection of infrastructure, data, and emerging media.
As an Anishinaabe technologist, he brings a distinctive lens to questions of governance, consent, and sovereignty in digital systems. He previously served as Executive Officer and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects, where he worked on Indigenous data governance and policy in environmental and cumulative effects monitoring. This grounding in community-centered data practice directly informs his approach to attribution, consent, and compensation in generative AI.
