Particularly interested in the convergence of art and technology, Coppélia Laroche-Francoeur studied digital music, the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, as well as the management of cultural organizations. She is currently a fullstack developer, sound artist and co-director of the Festival Filministes.
Her artistic practice focuses on sound synthesis, electronics and computer programming. Using specific data, she reconfigures sounds to represent information in an auditory and immersive way, offering a new perspective on sound interaction.
Involved in feminist circles, Laroche-Francoeur has been co-directing the Festival Filministes for the past nine years. The project is dedicated to screening recent documentaries, shorts and fiction films. The aim is to address contemporary feminist issues through the screening of cinematographic works.
