Dane Malenfant is a machine learning researcher at McGill University and Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, working within the Learning in Neural Circuits (LiNC) Lab. His research focuses on cooperative behaviour in multi-agent systems, credit assignment, and neuro-inspired algorithms to improve agent performance.
Malenfant is a citizen of the Métis Nation – Saskatchewan and actively advocates for further inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in science and technology. He contributes as an advisor to the Indigenous Pathfinders in AI program.
