Based in Montréal, France Jobin is a sound artist and composer whose work is rooted in a minimalist aesthetic she refers to as “sound sculpture.” Operating at the intersection of analog and digital, her compositions explore silence, dynamic range, and restraint to build intricate sonic environments that shift perception.

Her releases have appeared on influential experimental labels such as LINE, Editions Mego, ROOM40, and ATAK. Deeply inspired by quantum physics since 2008—a focus that intensified during the pandemic—Jobin’s installations often respond to architectural spaces, creating immersive experiences in unconventional venues and international festivals. Through careful control of tonal extremes and frequency, her soundscapes challenge the listener’s attention and invite deep, focused listening. Her collaboration with Markus Heckmann on Entanglement reflects a shared fascination with scientific phenomena, translating abstract concepts into multisensory environments that blur the lines between sound, space, and perception.
