Jean-Michaël Celerier is Director of Technological Development at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), where his work sits at the intersection of art, code, computer music, and the specification of interactive systems.

His background brings together software engineering, multimedia technology research culminating in a PHD thesis on interactive media authoring, and entrepreneurship through consulting and training. This trajectory has led him to develop a deep fluency in open-source technologies for the media arts. He develops and maintains a range of free software used for creative coding, digital art, and intermedia.

His work focuses on the ossia platform, where he has served as a lead developer since 2014. Committed to community and knowledge sharing, he regularly organizes events centered on programming and digital arts and teaches a wide range of programming languages and creative systems to students in computer science, sound, graphics, and design.
