Louise Grossen^FR

Louise Grossen is a freelance journalist and filmmaker. Her work focuses on storytelling around cultural movements, emerging practices, and contemporary imaginaries, working across writing, image, and sound. She regularly produces stories for ARTE Tracks and collaborates with media outlets such as L’ADN and the Institut français. Her journalistic work, both written and filmed, explores a wide range of topics, including culture, society, feminism, identities, rural life, and digital culture. Convinced that cultural narratives can be spaces for political transformation, she specializes in bringing visibility to voices that mainstream media tends to overlook.

Her commitments also extend to Balafre, an ecofeminist, queer, and anti-racist collective she co-founded in Lyon. The collective organizes cultural gatherings and spaces for dialogue around our relationship with the living world, with mental health, sexual health, and violence against bodies at the heart of its work.

Committed to knowledge-sharing and education, she works with school and university audiences on media literacy, and moderates talks and roundtables in a variety of cultural contexts.

Curious about all the issues shaping society, Grossen is above all a field journalist whose core focus remains culture as a space where representations are created — and where new possibilities for living and building society together can emerge.
