Sébastien Mercier (Neurotypique) is a French artist and creative technologist whose practice sits at the intersection of graphic design, digital art, and audiovisual performance. After six years as an art director and graphic designer in a communications agency, he launched his solo practice, developing a body of work that moves fluidly between the electronic music world and the broader landscape of visual culture.
Within this music scene, his work spans tour visuals, VJing, and audiovisual performances, with collaborations including Canblaster, PAX & Lunice, Etienne de Crecy, Ela Minus, Ouai Stephane, and Soyoon, among others. He is also co-founder of RiCO, a Parisian modular synth collective established alongside Brise Lame and Kévin Paul Cahay, rooting his practice in the energy and community of the underground music scene.
Beyond music, Mercier works across commercial contexts including visual identity, generative design, advertising, and interactive installations, with clients such as Nissan, Hoka, and IKEA.
Transmission is central to his practice. He teaches TouchDesigner in design schools and through workshops and nurtures the French TouchDesigner community by hosting free meetups every two months, creating space for exchange, learning, and collective experimentation.
