Sunny Cheung is Curator of Design and Architecture at M+, Hong Kong. He holds an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London. In addition to Contemporary Art, he has a keen interest in Digital Art and Design. Prior to M+ he has worked at the Barbican Centre, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Liverpool Biennial. At M+ he has curated and co-curated a number of exhibitions including Beeple: Human One (2022–2023), Pipilotti Rist: Hand Me Your Trust (2023), A.A.Murakami: Floating World (2024–2025), Making It Matters (2024– ), Ayoung Kim: Dancer in the Mirror Field (2025) and most recently Lee Bul (2026).
