Join multi-EMMY and BAFTA-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist Cristóbal Tapia de Veer for a rare and intimate masterclass and Q&A moderated by Jarrett Martineau (Chan Centre for the Performing Arts). Tapia de Veer has gained international acclaim for his inventive, genre-defying scores that push the boundaries of what music can do in visual storytelling—spanning cult series and films like Utopia (Channel 4), Black Mirror, The White Lotus, Smile (Paramount), and A24’s Babygirl.

He will offer a behind-the-scenes look into his creative process, from composition and sound design to inspiration and method. Tapia de Veer’s work continues to redefine expectations of music for screen, earning him iconic status among a new generation of composers. The session will be hosted by curator, scholar and musician Jarrett Martineau and will close with an audience Q&A.

Please note: this activity will be in English, with live transcription available.
