Computational Witchcraft Sleepover, presented by Abundant Intelligences

It’s finally happened: sleepover party time is on and you’re invited to join in! This workshop invites you to access the dynamic liminality of the computational by joining a cozy and immersive atmosphere. Join us for games of data truth or dare, symbolic pacts with machines, digital altar-making, friendship bracelet sigils, scary AI stories, and the timeless magic of uncontrollable laughter. Throughout this interdisciplinary workshop, participants will work together to build a data altar that will serve as a starting point for experimenting with various divinatory models, both digital and analog. By subverting the aesthetics and languages usually associated with institutional or corporate technologies, this space promotes a collective, creative, and relational approach.The workshop draws inspiration from a variety of practices to explore the links between technology, imagination, and social transformation. What forms of divination will we choose? Tarot? Mirror? Ouija? In the dim light, perhaps we will have the opportunity to reveal ourselves: as digital explorers, practitioners of new magic, or simply in search of a different relationship with technology.
