Radical Rituals: Welcome and Opening Manifesto presented by Canada Media Fund (CMF)

The 11th edition of the MUTEK Forum opens with a bold invitation: an opening manifesto. To set the tone for the days ahead, Dadabots, AI provocateurs and self-proclaimed “prompt jockeys”, join forces with the MUTEK AI Ecologies Lab cohort to present Radical Rituals, the Forum’s central theme. Together, they will launch the audience into a space of experimentation, imagination, and critical reflection.

Featuring:

A manifesto on Radical Rituals by Dadabots (CJ Carr and Zack Zukowski), two musicians and creative technologists who reinvent musical genres and create unique live performances thanks to their deep-learning technology. Dadabots will present a participatory installation exhibited throughout the 3 days of MUTEK Forum at Monument-National, where participants will enter their prompts to co-create an experimental participative artwork. The results will be unveiled when the Forum comes to a close.

Presentations from the MUTEK AI Ecologies Lab cohort (Dane Malenfant, Kelly Andres, Lionel Ringenbach, Eyez Li, David Barlow Krelina, Femke Kocken, Connor Cook, and Sura Hanna). Discover six innovative projects developed through design sprints, hackathons, and mentoring, exploring sustainable, socially just, and culturally meaningful approaches to artificial intelligence in the cultural sector. Those projects will be accessible in the AI Ecologies Lab exhibition throughout the day in the MUTEK Playground.
